Born in the USA and raised in the Netherlands, Justin is a second year Law undergraduate at the University and is working towards his LLB. His strong sense of duty as a global citizen, in addition to his substantive interest in International Law, has motivated him through five years of Model UN participation and seventeen conferences. He specialises in debating and negotiating in the fields of disarmament law and international humanitarian law. What Justin loves about MUN conferences so much is working with a variety of people. On his adventures, he has met an anti-capitalist fruitarian, an anarchist, and a Delegate of Yemen who was fond of telling everyone, “You look very nice today.” As Vice President and Trustee, he organizes the general weekly meetings and delegate training. He also has the unenviable task of keeping the President’s ideas grounded and reminding him of being realistic.
Outside of MUN and in-between watching his idol Harvey Specter on the latest episode of Suits, Justin enjoys cooking. He often watches cooking programmes to learn new cooking techniques and learn about new dishes. During the weekend he is often rummaging in the local charity shop looking for a new cooking book to get stuck into. His family and friends have encouraged him to set up his own cooking blog and Instagram page. He is looking forward to meeting new members at KentMUN opening event on Monday 25th!
