Simeon Onaji

President & Trustee

From Lagos, Nigeria, Simeon is a third year Politics and IR undergraduate. He is Kent MUN 14th President and is also the longest serving member of the Executive Committee in the Society’s history. He’s been taking part in MUNs since 2015 and was Kent MUN Social Secretary in 2015/2016 and Vice-President in 2016/2017. Simeon is a highly experienced MUNer, having won an award from 6 of the 7 conferences that he has attended.

As President and Chair of the Board of Trustees, he is responsible for overseeing all substantive and administrative aspects of the society, including KentMUN’s auxiliary initiatives and generally providing vision and direction for the society. In addition to his role with KentMUN, Simeon is a member of the University’s supreme governing body and is an executive member of the Youth United Nations Association (YUNA70).

Outside MUN Simeon is just your typical gentleman / adventurer. Eating Tteok-bokki in Seoul, hiking a summit trail in the Judean Desert, or taking last-minute trips to Croatia… While he can’t compete with Dan Bilzerian travel schedule, his passport does have a stamp or two. Monday through Friday, you can find him somewhere in the university library, but when the weekend rolls around… it’s time to play.
